APTelecom Co-Founder and CEO Eric Handa recently returned to Bryant University as part of the university’s Presidential Executive in Residence program, where he spoke with students, faculty, and leadership about the global digital infrastructure industry and the role submarine cables play in powering the modern internet. During his Community Conversation, Handa explained how undersea cable systems support everything from commerce and banking to government communications and cloud services, highlighting the importance of resilient global connectivity.
Throughout his visit, Handa shared insights from building APTelecom from a startup into a globally recognised telecommunications and digital infrastructure company supporting projects across established and emerging markets. He spoke with students about entrepreneurship, adaptability, long-term relationship building, and the importance of understanding both the technical and human sides of international business. Handa also met with students through classroom discussions, mentoring sessions, and career development activities, reinforcing the value of experiential learning and global perspective in building successful careers.
