Henox IT and Data Centers has announced Henox Crest, a proposed high-capacity coastal submarine cable system designed to strengthen India’s digital infrastructure and support growing demand for AI, cloud and hyperscale data centre connectivity. The network will connect key digital hubs across Gujarat, Mangaluru, Kochi, Chennai and Visakhapatnam, creating new carrier-neutral coastal hubs and improving access to international networks.
APTelecom has been appointed as the strategic technical and commercial partner for the project, which aims to integrate submarine cable systems, terrestrial networks, edge data centres and computing infrastructure. The proposed system will also provide onward international connectivity through links to the Middle East, Europe and Africa, as well as the SubConnex system connecting to Singapore, Malaysia and the U.S. West Coast. Henox Crest is currently progressing through engineering validation, strategic partner engagement and commercial development.
