WFN Strategies has announced its continued collaboration with APTelecom to support the SubConnex submarine cable system, delivering a Preliminary Environmental and Social Impact Assessment across key landing sites in the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia. The assessment covers seven locations across India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, providing insight into environmental constraints, marine use considerations, and permitting requirements that may impact project timelines and viability.
The program combines desktop analysis with targeted site visits, marine hazard analysis, and jurisdiction-specific permitting review. This work is designed to support the next stages of development, including marine surveys, route engineering, and permitting strategy. The continued collaboration reflects a shared focus on enabling efficient project execution as demand for resilient, high-capacity subsea infrastructure continues to grow.
