A need arose for AquaComms to establish its trans-Atlantic system between Ireland and the United States, however they lacked an early commercial framework to support financing and execution. Partnering with the operater, APTelecom developed comprehensive pre-sales strategies and facilitated critical landing partner introductions to de-risk the project before construction commenced. The company’s subsea cable consulting expertise and strategic connectivity consulting approach enabled effective commercial structuring while leveraging its global network to introduce key customers, ultimately assisting in the attraction of essential investors and accelerating route commitment for this subsea cable project.
The project successfully moved into the build phase in 2013, with APTelecom’s foundational groundwork contributing to what became one of the most efficient trans-Atlantic cable launches of the decade.
